Post Wedding Reception Wording
It is important to script the correct post wedding reception wording so that the invitation conveys both the correct information as well as the sentiments to the invitees. Read on to know the correct way to write a such a wording...

Wording Etiquette
A wording should include the following information:
- Who is hosting the post wedding reception.
- Who are being invited.
- The address of the venue of the event.
- The date and time of the event.
- The reason for the event.
- Special instructions in case the reception has a theme or if the guests are supposed to bring anything.
- How to reply - whether a formal written reply is expected, or informing over the phone would be enough. Relevant contact information should be provided if a reply is expected. Also the last date by which the reply is expected should be mentioned.
Reception Wording Samples
A simple and traditional wording could be:
Mr. and Mrs. Robinson
request the pleasure of
Mr. and Mrs. Smith
at a reception following the wedding of their daughter
Nicole
with
Daniel
that was held on 10th August, 2009.
The reception will be held
on 16th August
at the Medion Lawns
1234 Arthur's Road
Blacksburg, Santa Monica
Certain wordings can be made more creative by including wedding poetry, quotes and phrases. These can be creatively included within the words of the post wedding reception or they can be put separately on the left hand side of the invitation card with the traditional post wedding reception wording sample provided earlier in the right hand side of the invitation card.
