Popularity or Friendship?

This is about my friend Lisa Smith. Her mistake was an inspiration for my poem. This one's dedicated to her! Cheers, L.
Being popular is something many of us dream of,
Actually, I'm here to tell you, it's quite tough.

What does 'being popular' really mean?
To be able to be in,
With the popular crew or,
With the golden kids,
The ones the whole school,
Thinks are super cool,
Surely, that's something?

Being popular is just another label,
My friend, Lisa, found out it wasn't worth the trouble,
It's something you have to work pretty hard,
To keep up with it,
"It's really stressy, I'll admit."

Lisa has discovered that 'being popular,'
Isn't as exciting as she had imagined,
She misses her friends a lot,
Never had she forgot,
How they always been there for her,
So what if they weren't popular?
They're a whole lot, more caring,
Fun and way more interesting!

Lisa doesn't want to stay with the 'cool' kids for much longer,
They just cause too much trouble and bother!
She isn't one bit happy and eventually,
She'll choose real friendship over popularity.
