However, if done carefully, popping a zit can be an option to deal with the zits. Let's see more on that.

Popping Zits with Needles

Although popping zits is not advised by the medical fraternity for various reasons, the decision is upon the individual whether to pop the zit or not. Whatever, the decision, it is important to do such a thing with a bit of care and credible knowledge about acne in general. Then here we go -

Step #1
The best bet is to wait till the pimple is almost 'ripe' on the surface and the white in the center is almost on the verge of bursting on its own.

Step #2
Before you actually pop the zit, it is extremely important to wash your hands thoroughly. Especially the fingertips and under the nails to prevent any bacteria from contaminating the infected pimple. If you are too finicky about getting your fingers in contact with the pimple, you may want to use a cotton swab or gloves even. Whatever option you chose you need to make sure that it would not exacerbate the already contaminated condition of the pimple. Read more on get rid of zits fast.

Step #3
Get a finely tipped sterile needle and slowly and carefully prick at the center. If you do not know how to sterilize a needle, let me tell you how to do that. Just run the needle through an open flame - matchstick or lighter for a few seconds. Do not let it come in contact with anything, once the needle is sterilized.

Step #4
Now the next thing you do is to gently squeeze the pimple/zit, and take extra tissue around the zit. While you do that, on every side apply equal pressure. Do that till the time clear liquid or blood comes out. Once this liquid is out, stop squeezing the pimple. That is one of the most important thing to remember while popping zits. Step #5
Immediately after you see the liquid or blood coming out, use a clean napkin or a tissue and dab it away. Avoid or rather do not let the liquid or blood spread beyond the popped zit. After you are done with this, immediately wash your hands before moving on to doing something else. You are done with the ordeal. The injured pimple cell will heal itself in around a couple of days.

Step #6
Now dab some hydrogen peroxide on the open pore and use a healing ointment. Likewise every time you do this, it is imperative to wash you hands and fingertips to avoid bacterial contamination.

This is the procedure for popping zits using a needle. Ideally and preferably it is better to avoid doing this. In case you want to do it, it is your take, but you have to be very very careful. You might be wondering why am I saying this. Here is why!

Is Popping Zits Good or Bad?

It's difficult to say outright if popping the zits on your body is harmful or not. The reason is that there are 2 opposite views about it, obviously one is for and the other is against. The first argument against popping zits is that it can invariably force the debris from the pore deeper in the skin follicle. This may lead to rupture of the follicle wall, thus infecting material into the dermis. Another important point is that there is an impending risk of scarring as a result of picking or popping the zits. Finally, in worst case scenario, a nodule or a cyst can develop, which can be really painful. On the other hand the argument in favor of popping pimples involves that if done very properly and carefully, it may not be that bad. You should have the perfect knowledge of when and how to do it.Personally I feel natural acne cures would be a good alternative.

These were the conflicting views about popping zits. Eventually it is your choice. Either ways, whatever you pick (or pop!) think twice about popping your zits. Take Care!
