Benedictus XVI between Istanbul and Nova Roma

Walking for a brief span of time in the capital of Justinian, Heraclius and Manuel II Paleologus, Benedict XVI has the rare possibility to show to multi-divided and disoriented Mankind the path of Unity, Justice and Truth. While his visit to Turkey has started under auspicious circumstances, and gets unfolded with a mutual rapprochement of the Muslim and the Catholic worlds, further developments are hopefully expected.

Is a European Reunification still achievable?

When tomorrow the religious heads of the two Roman worlds meet, the Roman Pontiff and the Constantinopolitan Patriarch will agree that the world has changed a lot since the previous pontifical visit to Nova Roma.

The European Union is a failed reconstitution of the Roman Empire; this is a bitter perhaps but real evaluation. How many European statesmen and politicians truly realize that the negative Dutch and French attitude to the disreputable paper Valery Giscard d’ Estaing presented them as ‘Constitution’ meant an overall rejection of the ill-fated methods that had been employed in the wretched plan of J. Monnet and his likes?

The concept of a United and Civilized Europe is truly a real and a worthy one, and the Pontiff and the Patriarch are certainly well aware thereof, but it does not correspond to premature debates on the butter price, and to a disastrous Common Agricultural Policy that consists in a really posthumous Soviet tool of economy, an unsolicited Marxist legacy that devastated the agricultural potential of numerous European countries.

The Pontiff and the Patriarch know only too well that French inspiration ‘dirigisme’ is a devious, if not evil, model that definitely contradicts the Human Nature, its needs and its destination.

The religious heads of the Eastern and Western Europe know very well that the Reunification of Europe will be achieved only if Eternal Virtues are placed at the epicenter of this Search, replacing the ephemerous and unrealistic prices of idiotically subsidized fruits. They know very well, although this is not their primary concern, that these false prices do not include our debt to the Nature, as thousands of tons of fruits go buried every year in many European countries so that the paranoid Agricultural Policy is met with success! The simple conclusion of this aberration is that the success of the agricultural policy on the official papers of Brussels is met with the collapse of the entire European House in the hearts and the minds of the Europeans.

As a bottom line, if one detects in the minds of European Union fathers a kind of rivalry to the United States of America, and an unexpressed desire to produce a counterbalance to the American superpower, one has to admit that the entirely paranoid European effort ultimately consists in a disastrous misreading of the American Emergence. America was not built on milk prices and on fisheries subsidies, but on Principles and Ideas that are still sought after in five continents.

There is a way to correct all this. The two religious and moral Authorities of the still divided Europe know very well that there is a very good reason for which economic issues, viewed through ‘dirigisme’, are viciously put at the epicenter of the European debates: the Duplicity and the Mendacity of French and German politicians.

The Pontiff and the Patriarch know very well that, the acting axis of European disaster, deliberately pursued this tactics in order to bring around them many other, big-, medium- and small-size countries of Europe, which would offer the depth of a large scale economy that they would later use for their paranoid, anti-American plans. France and Germany total 142 million people, whereas 25-member Europe reaches 460 million people.

The abominable Paris – Berlin axis wants to exploit 320 million people, rapaciously disfigure their will and aspirations, and ultimately impose on them a deviate French foreign policy that would be of universally catastrophic impact. To do so, as the axis persists, France and Germany have to undergo trickery after treachery, and part of their plan is to freeze the expansion; otherwise, within a really complete Europe, the Paris – Berlin axis will simply end ingloriously!

European Union, European Reunification, signifies a common house for people who share a common past that certainly involves Judaism and pre-Christian religions, comprises Protestantism and Anglicanism, and encompasses Islam. However, Europe turns around two central worlds: Rome and New Rome, Catholicism and Orthodoxy.

It is practically impossible to speak of European Union without the totality of the Balkan states; what sort of European Union can this amalgamation of interests be, if it does not include the city where Constantine the Great was born?

It is impossible to conceive European Union without Istanbul, Kiev, and Moscow. This is the simple cultural – moral – religious – political reality, the only real assessment of Europe’s past and possible future.

A Catholic – Orthodox Union to herald European Reunification

In view of the real needs of Europeans for Freedom and Peace, Moral Values and Eternal Virtues, the Roman Pontiff and the Constantinopolitan Patriarch have together in their hands the only tool that can put an immediate end to the falsely sought Europe of petty interests, and impose an incredible close, yet unseen, Europe of Virtues and Moral Authority.

To launch the debate about the adhesion of Balkans in the European Union,

To openly support Turkey’s entrance into the European Political House,

To ultimately contribute to Ukraine’s volatile path to Democracy,

To efficiently promote the Case of Human Rights and Freedom in Russia,

To remind people throughout Europe that Justice must prevail over interest, and Truth must triumph over duplicity and mendacity,

To persuade one billion Muslims allover the world that Europe is not a falsely depicted pseudo-Christian castle, and

To overtly place Virtue, Equity, Fraternity, Peace and Humanity at the Epicenter of the Human Search for a better future for all the peoples of the Earth,

The Roman Pontiff and the Constantinopolitan Patriarch should announce the end of Schism, and the final Union of Catholic and Orthodox Europe.

What better news could Rome and New Rome herald to an embattled Humanity?
