Poor God!

We have made our belief in a Higher Power a sort of ownership that is most often taken for granted. While this 'God' is expected to be around when it pours woes, the power is conveniently forgotten when the going is good. Poor God!...
Poor God!
As we pass by this worldly fair,
And experience joy and pain;
At each other's hair, rant and tear,
And wallow in self pity vain.

Every now and then we try,
To look above for excuse;
To blame and endlessly cry,
Succumbing to earthly ruse.

If man is here, there has to be
Mr. Invisible to take the punch;
And offer services for no fee,
Miracle maker without scrunch!

Always around as He or She or It;
Here, there, and just about anywhere.
A 'Higher Force', some throw a fit
Is responsible for smaller share.

In happiness, there is no more space;
In pain, the whole pantheon squad.
In fall, the need for endless grace,
And in ignominy, there's poor God!
