Pool Fencing Ideas

A swimming pool in a house is a heavenly facility that one can exploit to no extent. Apart from being in fashion, a swimming pool can be enjoyed to no end. However to keep the pool safe, you need a sturdy fence and more prominently some good solid ideas. The fencing is an integral part of having a pool in your house. Since I have already seen a friend of mine struggle with a fence-less pool, here are some reasons as to why should you have a fence around the pool.

• Keeps out animals, who are looking for a drink or a place to cool off. Well, after a small dip, it's bad news for you because you can't go in there.
• Forget about animals, there are neighbors and pesky people out there, who are ready to party and are also ready to gate crash your pool.
• Dirt and garbage, an uninvited couple to the pool party, somehow always find their way into the water.
• Prying eyes is something that invades the rather romantic privacy of the pool. Well, pal, if you want to relax by the deck on a peaceful evening chatting with your spouse, get a fence around the pool.

Let us divide swimming pool fencing ideas into two parts, for normal pool and secondly, for above the ground, raised swimming pools.

Normal Fencing

Some fencing designs and techniques can be really simple such as wooden, wrought iron, plastic, etc. But if the fencing is for a good cause of protecting the swimming pool why not make it the best, and that too a creative one? Here are some ideas:

• Glass and iron, in normal cases keep them apart because the former can crack the latter, but while you are at it, why not make an alliance and a truce to protect the perimeter of the pool area. One of the best ways to put a fence around your house is to make a wrought iron fence design with the help of simple iron rods and a welding machine. Then make fixtures so that you can attach toughened glass from the inside and cordon off the entire area. Caution: if the pool is in a front yard, then it would not be a great idea to have the glass as it is susceptible to baseballs and footballs from the street and sustain cracks that can worsen to fragmenting.
• An unbreakable idea is a concrete wall. It can be classified under the inexpensive alternatives as it does not look very handsome once installed, plus it does not even cost a lot. A bonus point goes to its durability as it would certainly last till you see your grandchildren.
• I have to bring up the old trick of the wooden fence. Real sorry about the lack of enthusiasm for new ideas, but a wooden fence is the most convolution option with only pros and no cons. The pros are evident, simple to install, pocket friendly, durable and well, classically paint-able.
• A plastic vinyl privacy fence is the most economical one. Erecting it is a simple task, as all you have to do is use a bit of concrete to erect the metal supports and then affix the plastic vinyl to them.

As a personal opinion, I would recommend the iron cum glass fence and the concrete fence.

Above-Ground Fencing Ideas

The second type of fencing is, of course, the fencing above the ground pools. Now this fence is built for a different purpose - safety. An eminent danger that is faced by the users of the pool is slipping on the wet floor and falling off, ouch, it can be painful. Apart from adults, young kids often plunge into pool which does not have a very shallow bottom (as opposed to ground level pools)and can be a terrifying experience. Hence a water fence is also an important water safety measure. Here are some ideas.

• Plastic fencing is the best option for an elevated deck, even after falling down the softness of the plastic would cushion the blow of the fall and the level of injury would be minimal.
• The second choice is the wooden fence as it depicts same features like the plastic one.
• The third choice is the wrought iron fence with glass, but a free fall can be painful.
