Pomeranians Will Defend Their Masters

You don’t need to do a lot in order to succeed with Pomeranian potty training, it is enough that you stay patient and not give up on the teaching methods because with time you will be sure to succeed. Using novel means of Pomeranian potty training is also recommended and giving your pet plenty of encouragement should help reinforce the right potty habits.
The first thing that a Pomeranian owner learns about his Pomeranian is that despite its small size and cuteness, this breed is full of courage and makes an excellent watchdog that is not afraid of anything. Though he may yap more often than you may be able to tolerate. The only irritant with owning a Pomeranian when considering training is its relative reluctance to be housebroken. This means that you need to be very patient and persevering if you want to see the right behavior in your Pomeranian.

At the very outset, Pomeranian potty training requires providing your pet with a playpen which should be kept clean and where it can be given his food and water and where you can also provide it with a comfortable bed to sleep in. Next, whenever it wakes up in the morning, you want to take it out to where he should eliminate, and this should be repeated following every meal. Once he begins to do as is required you can readily reward him to show him that he has done the right thing, which should help reinforce the habit.

Still, you also need to know how to handle accidents when they occur, as this is a good time in Pomeranian training to exercise patience and perseverance with the potty training. In any case, you should not strike him or rub his nose in the mess as that will only make him fearful and not properly potty trained.

There is a lot more to Pomeranian training than taking it out to where it should go, because good potty training will also require you to clean up after it and when doing so to ensure that you clean up all traces of the accident so that no trace of it lingers. In fact, there are also some products available on the market that smell just like urine and by placing these where you want your Pomeranian to go. You will get good results because your pet will readily associate the smell with having to go potty.

Then again, you should also remember that good Pomeranian training methods do not include physical punishment of any kind, even if you catch him in the act where he should not be messing up. Rather you must make a loud clapping sound and even say the word no forcefully and loudly and then take it outside where it can then go. The sound of the clap and your voice should make it realize that it is doing something wrong and thus get the idea about where to go when wanting to defecate.

Contrary to what you may expect when it concerns training and more particularly Pomeranian potty training, it is an exercise that does not require more than a proper frame of mind and also getting your Pomeranian started out as soon as he becomes your family member. Accidents will happen and whether you catch it defecating or find out later, you should never rub its nose in the dirt or use physical reprimands, since the end result will be to make it fearful rather than properly potty trained.

Also, puppies cannot associate what they did a few seconds after the event, and thus if you are late by more than three or four seconds after he has pooped, there is no point in scolding him because it will not make any sense to him what you are going on about. It is much better to just clean up the mess completely and continuing with your positive reinforcement training.
