Pomegranate Martini Recipe

If you are looking for a pomegranate martini recipe, with a crisp and sharp taste, we have that and more for you...
A classic martini is made with gin and vermouth, and almost always garnished with an olive. This versatile cocktail has become so popular, that one can find it made with just about any addition, from strawberries to chocolate. Apart from the green apple martini, which is my personal favorite, other popular options are vanilla martini, lemon martini, dirty martini and gibson martini. However, after huge recommendations from Oprah, I decided to steer off the familiar, and try the pomegranate martini. However, when I decided to investigate the different ways to make a martini, little did I expect to surprise myself. What I found was that there are dozens of different ways of making pomegranate martinis, and sifting though the bulk of these pomegranate martini recipes, I compiled a list of my favorites.

Recipe # 5
Ingredients
  • 1 ½ cups fresh pomegranate juice (store bought or homemade)

  • 1 lemon
  • 1 ounce Cointreau liquor
  • Sparkling water
  • Pomegranate seeds, for garnishing
  • Ice
Directions
If you decide to make your own pomegranate juice, slice a ripe medium-sized pomegranate in half and extract juice using a conventional juicer or press. Strain the juice before use. You should get about ½ a cup of juice from one pomegranate. To prepare the martini glass, pass a lemon or lime wedge along the outside rim of the glass, and invert the glass in a shallow dish filled with sugar. Chill the glass. Fill ice halfway up in a cocktail shaker, and over it pour in the pomegranate juice, sparkling water, vodka, lemon juice and Cointreau. Shake, strain and pour into 2 prepared martini glasses. Garnish with pomegranate seeds.
