Pointless
A poem about how pointless life is.. we all die anyway
Growing grass
Earth’s green, lush carpet
Will brown and die
The flowers
Nature’s soft perfume
Will fade and wilt
All the trees
Tall, lofty towers
Will crash and fall
Garden’s dirt
Dark, moist, rich, black dirt
Will be overrun by weeds
Animals
Big, small, strong, or weak
Will grow old and die
Even us
Every one of us
Will end up dying
So this life
Every bit of it
Utterly pointless!
Earth’s green, lush carpet
Will brown and die
The flowers
Nature’s soft perfume
Will fade and wilt
All the trees
Tall, lofty towers
Will crash and fall
Garden’s dirt
Dark, moist, rich, black dirt
Will be overrun by weeds
Animals
Big, small, strong, or weak
Will grow old and die
Even us
Every one of us
Will end up dying
So this life
Every bit of it
Utterly pointless!
