In Lithuania, as in the rest of the world, the most popular procedures include eyelid surgery, breast augmentation using implants, liposuction, and, among men, hair transplantation. As a matter of fact, not only adults need the help of plastic surgery specialists – there are many children who need plastic operations.

"If the ears stick out, take your children to the plastic surgery specialist before they start school", says Gyte Grigonyte-Babajan, a plastic surgeon working in GK Klinika, "Otherwise, at school children call each other names, which often leads to the formation of various complexes from which people suffer for the rest of their lives".

Having decided to have a plastic operation done, people come to consult with a specialist. Future patients often visit several clinics to get acquainted with the surgeons and see which of them understands their needs best.

In Lithuania, one of the most popular beauty procedures is eyelid lift operation. During plastic eyelid operation, the eye is ‘opened’, the undesired pouches are removed. After such procedures, the whole face looks younger.

Another popular procedure is breast augmentation or reduction. The age of women who decide to have breast operation done varies. Young women choose breast augmentation procedures because it is important for their job or career (dancers, models). There are also women who have such operations done because their breasts are small or have lost their shape after pregnancy.

The plastic surgeon notices that, for men, it is important to look young as well. Often due to genetic reasons, men suffer from alopecia (loss of hair), so hair transplantation procedures are also very popular in Lithuania.

Another element of young appearance is a proportionate, slim body shape. Exercises and a healthy diet are always recommended; however, you can drop weight on the operation table as well. Liposuction is one of the most common aesthetic operations done in all over the world. During the operation, body shape corrections are made.
