Pedong Monastery is one of the major tourist attraction. It was built by the bygone Bhutan's King in 1873 and is one of the oldest monasteries in the Pedong town. This holy place for Bhutanese Buddhists has great religious and historical significance. An exhibition corner in the monastery showcases an array of paintings and works of bygone eras.

Flower Nurseries:

Kalimpong's favorable climate offers the spectacular sight of blossoms. The hill-station boast of a number of flower nurseries and gardens, popular for special varieties of orchids, Tulsi Pradhan, Rose, Dahlias etc. A must-visit one is the Universal Nursery, situated 3 kms away from the town, on the Kalimpong-Teesta road.

Mangal Dham:

Built in 1993, Mangal Dham is one of the magnificent temples in India. The religious shrine spreads over an area of two acres and is constructed in the memory of the beloved Guruji, Shri 108 Mangaldasji Maharaj. A prayer hall in its interior presents a clear legend of Nijanandacharya Shri Devchandraji meeting Lord Krishna.

Other attractions of note are Kalibari, Dr. Graham's House and Durpin Dara.

How to reach Kalimpong Hill-Station

By Air
Domestic airport in Bagdogra, situated 14 kms from Siliguri is serviced by Indian Airlines and Jet Airways at regular interval, therefore connecting the location with New Delhi, Guwahati and Kolkata.

By Rail
The nearest New Jalpaiguri Junction is 5 kms away from Siliguri. Many express train plying over the rail head connects the place with major cities of India.

By Road
The distance between Kalimpong and Siliguri is just 70 kms. Travelers can hire four-wheelers and reach the hill-station in just 2.5 hours.
