Ayutthaya
Ayutthaya is one of the most fascinating ruined cities in Asia. This magnificent city is home many historical temples and shrines. Visitors can also discover ruins of historical significance - Wat Phra Si Sanphet, Wat Mongkhon Bophit, Wat Na Phra Meru, Wat Thammimkarat, Wat Ratburana and Wat Phra Mahatha.
Bangkok
Bangkok has dominated the political, economic and cultural life since late 18th century. The capital official name is "Krung Thep Mahanakom Amorn Rattanakosin Mahitara Mahadirok Popnoparat Ratchattani Burirom Udommahasthan Amornpiman Awathansathi". The city is famed for its numerous cultural sites with over 400 temples which makes the place a popular tourist destination. The amazing architectural style of the temples allures the visitors from all over the world. Apart from that there are number of palaces, some still used by Royal family. The Grand Palace serves as the King's official residence.
Chiang Mai
Chiang Mai, the second largest city of Thailand is the center of the Thai craft industry, exporting wood carvings, beautifully painted sunshades, batiks, silk fabrics and fine silverware to all parts of the world. The place has the striking mountain backdrop, more than 300 temples and a quaint historical appearance.
Ko Samui
Ko Samui, the picturesque island allures the visitors for its coconut plantations and palm-fringed beaches. The main town on the island is Na Thon, consisting of some fine beaches and hotels. Some exotic beaches, with panoramic views are Hat Chaweng, hat Lamai, Mae Nam, Bo Phut and Big Buddha. Adventurous people can indulge themselves in water sports like diving, snorkeling, windsurfing and swimming.
Phuket Isalnd
Phuket is the largest island in Thailand with paradisaical surroundings consisting of sandy beaches, serene environment, adventurous sports, rich flora and fauna. The popular spectacular beaches of the place are Phi Phi Island, Coral Island and Racha island and many more. Khao Phra Thaeo National park and Sirinat National park are dwelling places for many species of birds and animals. An island also offers some exciting sports such as rock climbing, elephant trekking, mountain biking, horse riding, Bungy jumping and many more.
Nakhon Panthom
Nakhon Panthom is regarded as the oldest city in Thailand and is host to the 417ft orange-tiled Phra Panthom Chedi, the tallest Buddhist monument in the world. The original monument, buried within the dome, was erected in the 6th century by Theravada Buddhists.
