Venkateswara(Balaji) Temple:
Built by the Birla foundation, Venkateswara(Balaji) Temple sits on the highest point in Hyderabad. A visit here, offers the spectacular overview of the city. Another temple of similar kind is situated 20 kms upon a hill from Tirupati. It is one of the prime Vishnu shrines in India. Further, the temple measures about 414 ft long and 263 ft wide. The creative work in its dome, flag-pole and gates is such that its ensures to offer good time to its sightseers.
Saneeshwara Temple:
Popularly known as Sri Mandeswara Swami Temple, the temple is one of the greatly visited shrine by the believers of Lord Saneeshwara. A Shiva linga, formed of black-stone is the main attraction of the temple. It is located in Mandapalli, 38 km from Rajamundy, in the East Godavari District and can be easily accessed by means of four-wheelers.
Lakshmi Narasimhadeva Temple:
This sacred temple is situated upon a 300 foot hill, known as gateway to Vaikuntha(Vaikuntha-dwara). Devotees, here will receive chance to pay homage before the three forms of Lord Narasimha, namely- Jwala Narasimha, Gandabheranda Narasimha and Yogananda Narasimha. A cave inside the temple is believed to the place where the Lord manifested Himself in the form of Gandabheranda Narasimha. One can also find the images of Him in the other two form.
Kalahastiswara Temple:
Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the temple is situated on the right bank of Suvarnamukhi River.(27 km north east of Tirupati). The interior of the temple has the pious Vayu(air linga), which is white in color and is known as Swayambu(self-manifested). Devotees offer Abhisheka, done by pouring a mixture of milk, water, camphor, flower and sandwood paste. The main linga is never touched by human hands, including the priest.
Other temples of note are Sreesailam Temple, Prahlada-varada Narasimha Temple, Yogananda Narasimha Temples, Ramalingeswara Temple, Venkataramana Temple, Kurma Temple, Sri Rama Temple, Govindaraja Temple, Kothanda Rama Swami Temple, ISKCON Temple, Padmavathi Temple etc.
