Most pickled egg recipes tend to be very complicated and as a beginner, you’ll probably end up being very confused. However, if in the first try you are successful, then you’ll probably want to experiment and create your own pickled egg recipe to suit your own individual taste.

There are many different recipes for pickled eggs and this means that you can choose the right one to suit your individual taste. While some prefer their eggs to be hot and spicy by adding ingredients like Tabasco sauce, chili peppers and other hot spices, others prefer a sweeter taste and include ingredients like beetroot, brown sugar, cinnamons, and onions. All recipes for pickled eggs will call for the use of vinegar. The most appropriate types of vinegar used for pickling eggs are the good quality bottled malts that are either white or brown in color. Even though cider vinegar can be used, it isn’t advisable because the flavoring isn’t that strong.

Basically, this vinegar will be boiled with the spices and the liquid is then cooled and poured over the hard-boiled eggs. These eggs are then placed in an airtight container and stored in the fridge. The eggs that you use for pickling should be extremely fresh, especially if you are planning on storing them for a long time. all pickled egg recipes will call for a variety of spices – from cloves and cinnamons to ginger and peppercorns – the recipes vary from spice to spice.

Pickled Egg Recipes

Every pickled egg recipe will begin with the boiling if a certain number of eggs. Once these eggs are hard-boiled and then cooled down, the shells are peeled off. After this, a number of ingredients and spices are mixed together to form a sort of liquid paste that is used to saturate and pickle the eggs. Almost all pickled egg recipes demand for various amounts of vinegar and water being boiled together to form a sort of base. Next, the spices will be added to either make it spicy or to make it milder and sweet.

Once this liquid base has been well cooked and is fully prepared, the eggs are then placed in airtight container and the liquid will then be poured all over the eggs and then container will be sealed shut. Over time, the eggs will take on the taste of a particular spice. If the eggs are kept sealed in the fridge anywhere between two days to three weeks, they will turn out to be very tasty. However, if the eggs are kept for a longer time, then they’ll take on a rubbery taste and feel.
