Photovoltaic Cells: What are They Made of?
Photovoltaic cells are made up of layered materials that are inclusive of two types of silicon; crystalline or amorphous. Organic PV cells make use of a graphene substrate that is printed on a thermo plastic, thus making it highly cost-effective, light-weight, and portable.

Many companies dedicated to science and technology have put up a wide variety of photovoltaic cells for sale, both for personal use and professional usage. The cost of photovoltaic cells is highly dependent on the infrastructure used to make them. A basic photovoltaic arrangement comprising a 50-watt solar panel costs approximately $700 - $800. It is portable, and has a rather high efficiency. On the other hand, a photovoltaic solar panel system that is created to produce up to 600 watts of energy may go up to $8000 - $10000. However, with new products, technologies, and implementations being introduced in the market everyday, the prices of photovoltaic cells tend to decrease with a much lesser harm to the environment.
Photovoltaic cells are no less than a boon to the global society. They require no fuel, and no worrisome functionalities. Instead, they soak up one of the most abundant resources available on earth; sunlight. This has made solar cells one of the most sought-after resource saving systems across the globe, thereby, keeping the environment safe and sound.
