As a photographer its becoming more difficult to become distinguished. Here is a way to become distinguished using canvas prints.
How to Distinguish Yourself as a Photographer with Photos on canvas

If you’re a Fine Art or commercial photographer then you should always be on the look out to find new methods to boost your Q-rating, boost your visibility - which in turn boosts your sales (or your fee if you work commercially). You need to stand out from the crowd at all times - in order to keep your business alive, and to have clients and the rest of the buying public remember your work.

You can’t just think about the framing and the color and the composition, you need to think about the final presentation format… a picture’s impact appears entirely different on the digital view-finder or on your computer screen than it does when it’s blown up and printed to poster size. But you can do more. You can use a Digital Canvas Print!

By opting to display or exhibit your work on Canvas Digital Prints, you’re taking that bold step. A bold step that would even make Advertising Photography come to life in a decidedly different way. Presentation has a huge impact on the perceived value, appreciation and quality of any piece of Art. And "bold" choices speak volumes. But to really distinguish yourself, you have to carefully design your photographs and/or then treat them in Photoshop (or some other image processor) in such a way to take advantage of the inherent qualities that with printing on Fine Art quality canvas.

A Digital Canvas Print commands the viewer’s attention and leaps off the wall in a way that normal paper photo prints just cannot compete with - even Cibaprints can be outmatched by a Digital Canvas Print because of the sheer vibrancy available with printing on a piece of fabric.. The unique texture afford by a canvas print is eye-catching and thoroughly captivating - what more does a photographer want that this?

One thing to consider is the texture of the canvas; just like with the various grades of photo paper that provide a print with distinct visual qualities, you can tailor your photographs to take advantage of what the canvas offers. Portraiture, still life and landscapes are enhanced the most by using canvas, but in general low contrast images work well, too.

A second, element to consider when post processing your photographs is selectively using the various filter effects offered in Adobe’s Photoshop (such as half-tone, threshold, pastel, etc.) that convert your image’s visual characteristics to a more graphic quality. This graphic quality can enhance the expressionistic nature of your work, and this could again be elevated by printing the final photo on canvas and taking advantage of the inherent Fine Art nature of a Digital Canvas Print.

At the end of the day, you as the photographer must always been thinking about how am I going to display this photograph – what medium am I going to print this on? That knowledge can and will effect how you go about capturing the image in the first place, also it will inform what subjects you chose to photograph in the first place.
