Phil's Gift - CH. 3

Someone poked me and I woke up.

"Huh?" I yawned.

"Hey, are you ok?" a voice said.

I pulled my sunglasses off and looked around, there stood Phil beside me.

"Oh, hi Phil. I fell asleep." I smirked.

"Well, uh, you got sunburned." he pointed at me.

"Shit, well things like this happens to me all the time." I sighed. "How did your meeting went?" I asked, carefully moving around.

"Good and bad. Good because I'm getting a bonus; bad because I'm going to a different country for a few weeks." Phil replied.

"When?" I wanted to know.

"In a couple of months." he sadly stated.

"Oh," that's the only word can come out.

"You're not mad, right?" he said.

"No, surprised would be the right word." I said.

"Want supper? We can get something." he smiled.

"Sure, let me change first." I said and headed up to the hotel.

We ate at a fancy restaurant, could have taken me to Wendys and I'm fine.

We got to the hotel and I was exhausted. I fell on the bed and I closed my eyes. Phil slid into bed and brushed my cheek.

"You tired?" he asked.

"No, just relieved." I smiled.

"I wore you out." Phil smirked.

"Yeah, but in the good way." I replied.

Phil put his arms around me and dragged me over to him. I feel like I'm blushing because I'm very shy. I hid my face in his chest.

"What's wrong?" he asked.

"Nothing!" my voice all muffled.

He picked me up and I hit the pillows. "Aww, embarrassed." Phil smiled. "It's so funny you become embarrassed so easily."

"So what." I hit my face in my hands.

I see faint lights from between my fingers. Phil's fingers slid between my fingers and took my hands away from my face. Seeing his gorgeous brown eyes hit mine. My heart feels like it coming undone.

"What's wrong? You look like you're going to cry." he said.

"Maybe." I sniffled. Then tears streamed down my face. "I'm just so happy being with you." I softly said. I placed my hands on Phil's sides of his face.

He placed his hands on mine and he kissed me long and hard. He stopped and he stared into my eyes again. He grabbed my hand and played around with my fingers; then he slid a ring on my ring finger. Phil have a grin on his face that made him look serious.

I gave Phil a hug and he held me tight. Phil is everything to me, and I don't want to lose him now. "Thanks for everything." I whispered.

"I'm glad I found you years ago." he smiled. "You complete me in every way."

"Same here." I smiled.

A month later, we got married. It's the happiest day so far. We spent our honeymoon at Virginia Beach; Norfolk area.

I walked over in the sand to watch the waves hit the surface. Suddenly Phil's arms wrapped around me. He kissed my neck, my cheek, and then my lips. Shivers went down my spine.

"Are you enjoying this?" he whispered in my ear.

"Hell yeah. Just sucks that you have to leave tomorrow for your job. Not be able to see you for a few weeks might kill me." I softly said.

"Aww, you'll be fine. Your job will start here soon. I'll stay contact with you more often than I use to." he wrapped his arms around my waist.

"Thanks." I kissed him. "I want tonight to be memorable." I smiled.

"It will be memorable." he growled. "Let's enjoy the rest of the night at home."

"Alright." I cuddled up next to Phil. "Let's go."

We got up, held eachothers hand, and stayed side by side. Seeing our final sunset together for a few weeks is depressing, but memorable. I stopped right at our door.

"Phil, I'll always love you! And I'll be right here waiting for you." I said.

"Thanks deary. I'll always love you too." he said back; and we walked in together.
