When I was in school, there would always be this one kid every year in the annual elocution competition, who would belt out that overdone bit about 'I Have a Dream'. No offense meant to Martin Luther King or his rather soul stirring speech, but I have to admit that it used to get a bit too irritating hearing the same thing over and over again. And I used to think back then, why don't people come up with some original persuasive speech topics for middle school rather than the done and dusted ones about coming to bury Caesar and not to praise him?
