Perfection: You and I
It's basically about a girl, sitting on a beach describing what she sees around her until her attention diverts to that certain someone.. So she starts to describe him and what is going on. (I dunno what to say in this without giving it away even more so that I just have. Oh and by the way I hate the ending. I will be changing it whenever I come up with something better.)
As I sat there, waiting for him, with butterflies in my stomach and my heart pounding, my mind began to wander. I had only been sitting there for all of three minutes and I was already thinking of him. With my heart thumping erratically, I quickly started looking around for something to concentrate my thoughts on, but everything reminded me of him. I could feel the blood pumping around my body much quicker than usual.
The sun, already starting to set, was gleaming and looked so striking; I could not help myself but to look at it for a few seconds longer - I was mesmerized by its exquisiteness. I drew in a large breathe of fresh air, I could taste the sea water - it was not very pleasant but it calmed my heart rate down considerably. I could smell the fresh air, it was certainly... refreshing! I looked around the beach. I have never actually paid much attention to my surroundings but this was different. I could see, hear young children splashing around in the water and having fun. I felt somewhat envious at first; my "rentals" (as I like to call them) had never taken me to the beach - in fact they had never taken me most places - but it never really troubled me until now. I took an additional deep breath to calm myself down. I hated being jealous of these strangers - it was not their fault.
My eyes glazed over the water and unexpectedly halted to a stop at a distant figure walking across the sand. I could not tell if it was him so I turned my head away to look in the opposite direction. At that same moment I heard him calling my name. I did not have to turn around to know that it was him, his voice was so irresistible.
I wanted to pretend that I did not hear him as my face looked like I had seen a ghost, but against my will my head turned to face him. It was him, I was correct. I focused my eyes on anything but his face - so I ended up staring at the sand beneath him - just until I could get my facial expression as close to normal as possible.
I had to look at him somehow, so I looked at his feet, he was barefoot of course - his shoes in his left hand. I lifted my eyes, but not very much. Just enough so that I could see that he was wearing torn light blue jeans - almost the same color as the sea - rolled up to his calves. He was only ten feet away now. My eyes were gawking over him. I had to blink a couple more times, trying to refocus my attention. I closed my eyes and focused on my heart rate - to calm my nerves - but this only made it worse as my heart kept pounding faster and faster. My eyes flew open, only to see a sight I will never forget. He was topless - his shirt flung over his, broadened manly, right shoulder. I could see every slight crease in his stomach and the muscles to go along with it. Not just his stomach; his arms, his legs, his back, his shoulders, every part of him had muscle! His skin, glowing in the sunlight, shimmering almost like glitter. I could not tear my eyes off him for even a second!
I suddenly started to feel very clammy and hot almost as if I were going to faint but I composed myself quickly after hearing him calling my name for the second time. How is it possible that him calling my name makes me feel like I am flying and that I am calm and safe? I should not let him have this power over me - but it he is hard to resist and, to be honest, I would not want to resist him. He is perfect!
After regaining my thoughts I focused on the gorgeous figure now five feet away from me. I could tell he was staring at me - as if he was waiting for our eyes to meet, but I was not ready. His hair - which had grown since I saw him last - was now quite long, nearly reaching his ears. It looked blonde in the sun but it was actually light brown. He had very strong masculine facial features and this made him look even more attractive - if that is even possible.
As he got closer and closer I could feel my heart rate speed up once again. I lowered my head - now looking at the ground. My breathing deepened and became louder - loud enough he could probably hear it. As I was busy being sidetracked by my breathing, I saw a pair of tanned feet standing in front of me so I slowly lifted my head. I did not anticipate on him standing so close so when I lifted my head all I could see was his toned chest - I slightly stumbled backwards. He quickly reached out to catch me in case I fell but I did not so his hands started to drop back down to his sides.
He brushed his fingertips down my arm - barely, but enough to cause my entire body to shake. As that arm dropped, the other reached up to cup my face in his palm. He gently lifted my head, so that he could look into my eyes and I his. Every time I looked straight into his golden brown eyes I could make feel myself falling deeper and deeper for him. After gazing into his eyes - for what felt like eternity but was actually only five or ten seconds - I found myself looking at his luscious lips. He had his usual quirky smile - my favorite and he knew this. When he realized that I was staring at his lips, his smile grew larger. Seeing him smile, made me feel girly and secure, it's as if I had no control over myself around him, I couldn't help but smile back at him.
We stood there, hands intertwined, for a while just looking at each other and watching each other's every movements and expressions. After some time - without saying a word to each other - I wrapped my arms around his neck, his arms now wrapped tightly around my waist. So tight that our bodies were ever so slightly touching. This moment was perfect - it was everything I could ever possibly imagine and more. I did not see how the moment could get any better. That was until he lifted my head ever so slightly, and slowly brought his own down to meet my gaze. Our faces were now centimeters apart - I could see him moving closer. My heart felt like it was doing somersaults over what was to happen.
And that's when I heard it. My mother. She was shouting something but I could not make anything out. I figured her shouting would end soon enough so I refocused on him once more. But something was different - he was upset and walking away from me. His hands fell from my waist, I reached out to grab them again but he was further away than I first thought. I took a step closer to him and within an instant he disappeared from in front of me. I reached out calling his name but nothing happened. He was gone. It was all a dream, a perfect dream!
