POV GARY
Gary was so excited that Pearl accepted his invitation to go out for coffee. He never thought she'd say yes. He always thought Pearl was beautiful and wanted to get to know her better. Now was the time to get to know her it was the perfect time to do so.
They went on a few more outings. Gary and Pearl laughed and talked up a storm every time they went out together. Gary learned that Pearl liked all types of music but her favorite was local bands. He noticed how much they had in common. Since Pearl hasn't been to a real concert Gary decides he'll bring her to her first concert ever. Rebel Souja and Katchafire and some other bands were playing this weekend so he decided this would be just perfect.
He could feel Pearl excitement for her first concert especially local bands were playing. They danced and sang to the music it was just awesome. They walked hand an hand back to his car. This was the moment he was waiting for their first kiss. He stops just short of his car and Pearl turns around to face him.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing is wrong can I try something?"
"Sure what you want to try?"
"This"
He leans into her and barely brushes his lips against hers and heard her gasp. Then they both got into his car not mentioning what happened. He dropped her off at home and leaned in for another kiss goodnight this time he deepened the kiss and heard her moan.
"Good night " he whispered against her lips.
"Good night Gary" she let out breathless
He watched her walk to the door and close the door behind her. There was something special about Pearl he didn't know what yet but was determined to find out.
POV PEARL
Nothing was as perfect as tonight at the concert. Her first concert was unforgettable. Gary had kissed her at the end of the concert almost shocked her, then again when they said goodnight. If only he knew her secret he'd of have been repulsed by even the idea of kissing her. How can she be so conflicted? Why does she care just enjoy it while it last?
She need to clear her head so she grabbed a whole bunch of left over and inhaled the food. After she went to her bathroom and puked her guts out basking in the after high.
Why can't she stop? She needs to stop. She needs help but don't know who to go to. Someone she can trust with her addiction. None of her friends or family knows of her addiction. Plus she doesn't want Gary to find out about it. At that she fell asleep crying to herself.
Waking up she dragged to get dressed and went downstairs to go to school. Her parents offered her breakfast she declined but they stopped her.
"Dear did you eat all the left over last night?"
Of course she did she's the only kid that they have.
"Yeah was a little hungry last night after the concert."
"Okay next time can you put the dishes away?"
"Sure sorry about that."
With that she left the house and headed to meet Gary for a cup of coffee before school. They met at the usually starbucks coffee house on the island and ordered the same thing every time.
Pearl was a little shy when her and Gary sat in their usual spot before and after school. Gary was all smiles Pearl noticed. They ended up talking about the concert leaving the kissing out of it and of the essay that was due at the end of the week. Pearl wonder if the kissing meant they were going steady now or if they aren't.
As they walked the rest of the way to school Gary reached out for her hand and asked
"Will you be my girlfriend"
Shocked and awed I said
"Yes!"
Oh boy! Now when will she ever tell Gary the truth about herself?
