Perfect Poet
Wow another one from the archives this was written about 3 years ago its a poem about unrequited love (for some reason I have a lot of these haha )
I could of promised you starry night sky
And dreams laced with gold
On that cold October night
But you still would of said no
Poets can be the most romantic people
But this is their down fall
My problem isn't getting the girls
Its falling in love with the wrong one
Poets could be shy and quiet
But have a thunderous voice when given a pen
They could be calm and docile
But strong and courageous when written with lead
I could have been that perfect guy
If only you had given me a try
And dreams laced with gold
On that cold October night
But you still would of said no
Poets can be the most romantic people
But this is their down fall
My problem isn't getting the girls
Its falling in love with the wrong one
Poets could be shy and quiet
But have a thunderous voice when given a pen
They could be calm and docile
But strong and courageous when written with lead
I could have been that perfect guy
If only you had given me a try
