Swayze, 55, and Niemi, 52, reportedly renewed their vows at their New Mexico ranch in front of a small group of close friends. Swayze was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer earlier this year and has been bravely battling the disease. The couple’s 33rd wedding anniversary is on June 12 and a source said that Swayze is determined to make it to that day as well as living beyond that date. A source said, "It was very important to him [Swayze] to express his love and commitment to Lisa. They both mean the world to one another."
In March, Swayze’s doctor reportedly said that the actor "has a very limited amount of the disease, and he appears to be responding well to treatment thus far." A friend said of the Dirty Dancing actor, "He is refusing to give up, but right now he’s living for today." Swayze has been undergoing chemotherapy in Stanford, California, but it has been rumored that things may not be as on the up and up as it has been reported. Said a friend of the actor’s, "It’s deadly serious. Doctors have told him that if or when the cancer spreads to his brain he has two weeks to live."
He has reportedly been preparing for the worst. Swayze reportedly redid his will and has gotten all of his affairs in order. Swayze is best known for his roles in Dirty Dancing, Point Break, Ghost and Road House. His latest movie, Powder Blue, is set to be released sometime this year.
