Amidst whispering meadows we walked.
Under the shade of trees we talked.
Seashore was our favorite haunt.
Beautiful sunset used to daunt!
Holding each other we didn't want to leave.
We bid adieu with a huge heave.
Falling stars prompted us to wish.
Our wishes would fill the lovers' dish.
Moon light hit like sunrays.
We eagerly awaited sunrise.

Sleep began evading us.

Who has won destiny?
