Making Italian dressing for pasta salad is very easy. The best part about these recipes is that they can be made in advance as well, which make them a perfect choice for a party. Here are some of those recipes which can be made in advance. However, if you want to made it beforehand, it is recommended you do not add the dressing to it. Dressing should always be added before serving. I always use these recipes for potlucks.

Pasta Salad with Italian Dressing

With the innumerable pasta salad dressings available, you can make different pasta salads each time. Out of the many, my all time favorite are the Italian salad dressing recipes. Some of these recipes may not be apt for the calorie conscious people, but you can always make the required changes and use them nevertheless.

Cold Italian Pasta Salad
This is an Italian pasta salad recipe, that is not only healthy, but also very easy to make. Let's see the ingredients required to make this recipe.

Ingredients
  • Tomatoes (cut into cubes) 2
  • Cucumber (peeled and cubed) 1
  • Green Pepper (cut into chunks) 1
  • Black Olives (Drained and sliced) 1 can (15 oz)
  • Salad Seasoning as per taste
  • Pasta (cooked) 1 pound
  • Italian Dressing 12 ounces
Method
  • In a mixing bowl combine all the veggies and sprinkle salad seasoning on it.
  • Let the veggies marinate overnight.
  • Cook the pasta the next day, drain it and let it cool.
  • Then add the pasta to the marinated veggies and stir well.
  • Pour the Italian dressing over the veggies and noodles and stir well. You may not need the entire quantity of the dressing. You can vary the dressing depending on the quantity of pasta.
  • Serve the pasta cold.
Italian Dressing Pasta Salad Recipe
This salad recipe with Italian dressing has pepperoni as one of its ingredients. If you are a vegan or vegetarian, you can simply skip it altogether. In case you do not eat pepperoni, you add meat of your choice.

Ingredients
  • Noodles 7 oz
  • Ripe Olives (sliced) 1 small can
  • Green Pepper (diced) ¼ cup
  • Onion (diced) ¼ cup
  • Sliced Mushrooms 1 small can
  • Italian Salad Dressing
  • Parmesan Cheese as per taste
Method
  • Cook the noodles as per the directions on the package. After cooking the noodles, keep them aside, so that the water drains from it.
  • Drain the juice from the olive and mushroom can and add the juice to the noodles.
  • Then add peppers and onions and stir all the ingredients well.
  • Now is the time to add the dressing. The quantity of the dressing will vary. You will have to make sure all the ingredients are well coated with the dressing.
  • Then add cut pepperoni and Parmesan cheese.
  • You can taste the salad and add salt and pepper, if you feel the need for it.
Pasta Salad Italian Style Dressing
This is one of the pasta salad recipes that has bacon in it. Like I have mentioned in the previous recipe, you can substitute bacon with any other ingredient of your choice. You can make this salad using this pasta salad recipe and refrigerate it, but make sure you stir it at least once a day to evenly distribute the flavors.

Ingredients
  • Pasta Spirals (cooked and drained) 3 cups
  • Cauliflower (chopped into florets) 1 head
  • Pepper (sliced thin) 1
  • Broccoli (chopped) 1 bunch
  • Tomato (diced) 1
  • Red Onion (sliced) 1
  • Crisp Fried Bacon ½ lb
  • Italian Salad Dressing 1 bottle
  • Sugar 2 tablespoons
  • Salt 1 teaspoon
Method
  • Boil water in a pan and add cauliflower florets to it. Cover and keep the pan aside.
  • In a bowl mix broccoli, pepper, tomato, onion. Add salt and sugar to it. Drain the cauliflower florets and add them to the veggies.
  • Then add bacon to the veggies.
  • Once the pasta cools down and is drained add it to the mixture. On the pasta pour the salad dressing.
  • You will have to ensure, that all the ingredients are well coated with the dressing.
  • Stir well and place it in the refrigerator. Remove it from the refrigerator, when you are ready to savor it.
All these salad recipes with Italian dressing can be served at room temperature as well. However, I would recommend refrigerating it for some time and then serving it. Another option is not to drain the pasta completely and place it in the refrigerator and then add it to the veggies. Whatever way you decide to make, these pasta salad recipes are not only easy to make, but delicious as well.
