One of the most creative ice breaker ideas for adults, which is especially useful for a business or office party, is to make pairs of people who do not know each other well. Then give each pair about ten minutes to know about each other as much as they can. Later, the entire office people re-assemble at one place. The pairs have to come to the stage or the podium and then introduce one another to the rest of the people in the party.
An entertaining cocktail game is "Kiss the elephant". For this the guests have to stand in a circle. The host should hold an empty liquor bottle in his hand and start the game by saying,"I like to kiss the elephant on his forehead" and later follow it up by kissing the top of the bottle. Then he passes on the bottle to the person on his right. The second person too chooses a specific body part of the elephant and kisses the bottle accordingly. This way, the bottle is passed on to the entire circle, till it reaches back to the host. From here on, the fun will begin. Starting from the host, all the guests have to kiss the person standing next to them on the same body part as they wanted to kiss the elephant.
Activities that involve asking the guests some questions can be conducted in both office functions as well as for family and friends. The questions should either be funny or should be such that they reveal a person's personality to the other guests. Examples of such questions are,"What has been your most embarrassing moment in life?, "How did your first date go?", "Tell five things that you like and dislike about yourself", "If you were invisible for a day what would you do?", "If you could kiss one guest in the party, who would that be and why?".
Party ice breakers, such as the ones mentioned here, can make a party enjoyable and fun. On top of that, they help in breaking down the walls between people and help them connect. Keeping the activities simple and conducting them with a smile, is the key to their success.
