Hilton will also reportedly give her first interview upon her release to Larry King. She is set to appear on Larry King Live for a one-hour interview discussing her time spent behind bars. Hilton reportedly said, "I am thrilled that Larry King has asked me to appear on his program to discuss my experiences in jail, what I have learned, how I have grown and everything else he wants to talk about. Larry King is not only a world-renown journalist, but a true American icon. It will be an honor to do his show."

A source connected to CNN said, "Paris will not be paid a dime for the interview." Bridget Leininger, CNN spokesperson, said, "Larry doesn’t tell us production details, but what I can tell you is that Larry does not pay for interviews and there are no ground rules." It was reported that Hilton was in talks with NBC for a $1 million interview but the deal reportedly fell through. Hilton family friend Barbara Walters also reportedly declined to pay for an interview for ABC, and People was in talks to pay Hilton $300,000 for a photo shoot but that has been canned as well.

Hilton was sentenced to jail on May 4 for violating her probation by driving with a suspended license. She was on probation stemming from a reckless driving charge in September. She was released after only a few days and was ordered back to jail a day after her release. She now says that she has changed. She has said, "I would like to make a difference. God has given me this new chance." Hilton has most recently stated she would like to help build a "transitional home" to help inmates recently released from prison adjust to life on the outside. Hilton said, "These women just keep coming back [to jail] because they have no place to go. It’s a really bad cycle and if we stop it now, we can make our community a better place." Talking is one thing. Actions are another. So we shall see how committed to making a change Hilton really is.
