Paris Hilton Returns Home

Heiress Paris Hilton returned home Tuesday after a 23-day stay in Los Angeles’ Century Regional Detention Facility.

Hilton was released at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday from the Detention Center where she served 23 days of a 45-day sentence for violating probation on an alcohol related charge in September. Hilton was escorted through the front doors of the facility and was all smiles as she stopped to say hello to a number of fans and paparazzi that were swarming the entrance to the facility. She then ran to the Escalade to greet her parents and go home.

Hilton, who claimed that she had not looked in a mirror since she had gotten to the facility, reportedly had a 9:30 a.m. hair appointment Tuesday to have 20-inch long hair extensions put into her hair. Numerous items were delivered to the Hilton household on Tuesday including pink balloons, pink hydrangeas, yellow lilies, pink roses, and a cake that read "Welcome Home." No word who the goodies were from, but later in the day two reps from Taco Bell delivered food to the paparazzi and police officers outside the house…compliments of Paris.

Hilton has a lot to prove now that she is out of jail. While "on the inside" she claimed to have found a new purpose in life and said that she wanted to change for the better. She claimed to have become more spiritual and stated a desire to help build a "transitional home" to help inmates recently released from prison adjust to life on the outside. She claims that she is not superficial and said she wanted to distance herself from the "bad people" she used to be surrounded by. Hilton is set to give Larry King her first post-prison interview, which will air Wednesday night. Let’s see if 23 days behind bars has really changed Hilton or if it was all talk…
