Walters reportedly spoke with Hilton on Sunday and said that the heiress "sounded tired, but was totally aware of what she was saying." Hilton reportedly called Walters collect and said that she hoped the media would focus on "more important things" than her jail sentence. She also reportedly said, "I want to do different things when I’m out of here. I used to act dumb. It was an act. And that act is no longer cute. It’s not who I am, nor do I want to be that person for the young girls who looked up to me. I’m 26-years old and it’s a different time."

Hilton claims to have become more spiritual since her ordeal began and said, "God has given me this new chance. My spirit or soul did not like the way I was being seen and that is why I was sent to jail. God has released me." Hilton claims to want to focus on charity work upon her release and reportedly mentioned to Walters that she would like to deal with foundations that deal with breast cancer or multiple sclerosis. Walters also reported that Hilton is not allowed to wear make-up in jail. Hilton was reportedly not upset about that because she said, "I’m not that superficial girl. I haven’t looked in a mirror since I got here. My purpose in life is to be where I am." Umm…ok…

Hilton was originally sentenced to 45-days in the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California. Before even beginning her sentence it was reduced to 23 days. Hilton turned herself in on June 3 to begin serving her sentence. On Thursday Hilton was reassigned to home detention due to a non-disclosed medical condition. She was fitted with an electronic monitoring device and sent home on the condition that she must serve her entire 45-day sentence less the days she had already spent in jail. On Friday Hilton was ordered back to jail to serve out her 45-day sentence. She is reportedly serving her term in the medical ward of a maximum-security detention center. Guess we will see how different Hilton is when she is released from the Detention Facility…
