Paris Hilton Faces Jail Time
It has been reported that the Los Angeles City prosecutors are recommending that Paris Hilton serve 45 days in jail.

Court papers were filed Monday by the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office and allege that Hilton "knowingly drove with a suspended license on February 27." The papers also claim that she never enrolled in an alcohol education program. Hilton was arrested on DUI charges last year and violating her probation by driving with a suspended license. The papers filed Monday claim that "these violations demonstrate Hilton’s disregard for the vehicle laws of this state, and the conditions of her probation."
Hilton’s rep, Elliot Mintz, claims that she did not know her license was suspended after she was pulled over in February. At the time, Mintz said, "When Paris called me, she asked if her license was suspended. If that’s the case, she and I are unaware of it." Prosecutors said that Hilton was sent a suspension notice by the Department of Motor Vehicles and was warned both verbally and in writing by the police in January after she was pulled over for another traffic stop. Hilton is set to appear in court on Friday to face the probation violation charges.
Hilton was arrested in September and plead guilty to lesser charges of alcohol related reckless driving. She was placed on probation for 36 months. She was pulled over in February for speeding and driving with her lights off. She was found to be driving on a suspended license and was cited her for the misdemeanor violation. Chances are she won’t receive any jail time, even though it might do her some good. Howard Weitzman, Hilton’s lawyer, has not yet released a statement.
