Paris Hilton and Benji Madden Getting Back Together?

The pair arrived only minutes apart, chatted on the red carpet, then found plenty of private time on the inside, where they chatted at various locations around the party. Paris and Benji didn't leave together, but all indications are that things may be re-heating between the pair.

While Paris appeared somewhat cool towards Nicole Richie and Joel Madden upon her entrance, there were immediate sparks when Benji arrived. The two spent time chatting on the red carpet, then brushed aside photographers inside the party so that they could talk privately. They seemed happy as they adjourned to the smoking patio to continue their certainly-interesting conversation. The accomplished celebrities were overheard to be discussing the ramifications of the current financial crisis on the middle class and whether or not deflation was a greater concern than the current recession. Then they laughed and texted each other secretly hilarious acronyms. Surely, I jest.

Paris was asked directly if she and Madden were getting back together and her only response was a "knowing smile." It's unclear at this time whether she understood the question.

Eventually, Benji left the shindig with his brother and Nicole, while Paris hung out and partied with her sister and the likes of Rachel Bilson, the party hostess, Lauren Conrad and Kevin Connolly, among others.
