Paris Hilton and Benji Madden Break Up

It seems that Paris Hilton has once again freed herself from the chains of relationship commitment as she and boyfriend Benji Madden recently decided to call it quits. Hilton's publicist issued the obligatory "still very good friends" statement to the media and now we all wait anxiously to see who Paris hooks up with next.

The most interesting sidebar to her relationship with Benji Madden was that he is the identical twin brother of Joel Madden, father of Nicole Richie's daughter, Harlow. Surely, Benji's visits to see his niece must have been interesting get-togethers, complete with the entire cast of the Simple Life and the key components to Good Charlotte.

Paris recently toured with Benji and Good Charlotte and will surely have no problems finding her way back into the spotlight now that she is an eligible bachelorette.

Honestly, it seems that Paris has faded from the spotlight in recent months, perhaps as a result of a somewhat stable relationship with Madden? Maybe she was influenced by the newly low-key lifestyle of long-time "frienemy" Nicole Richie, now that she is busy mothering?

In any event, it's safe to assume that Paris will soon be back grabbing headlines and dating someone else operating on the fringes of celebrity. And whatever she's doing, the spotlight won't be far behind.
