Paracord Bracelet
Do you know how to make a paracord bracelet? Scroll down to find instructions for making a wristband from parachute cord.

Things You Will Need
- Paracord
- Side release buckle
- Scissors
- Measuring tape
- Lighter
- First of all, measure your wrist size. So, take the cord and wrap it around your wrist. Mark the place where the two ends of the cord meet. Use the tape measure and make a note of your wrist size.
- Now you need to hold the ends of the cord together. Once you find the center of the loop, pull the center of the loop through the end of the buckle.
- Proceed further by tightening up the cords by pulling at the cord ends through the loop. Make sure that they are tight and the cord ends are properly attached to the buckle.
- The free ends of the cord need to be pulled through the other part of the buckle and then slide them towards the attached part.
- Now get your hands on the tape measure or a ruler and place the tape on the cord to measure the distance between the two parts of the buckle.
- Remember you had measured your wrist size earlier. You need to keep the length of the cord at least an inch longer than your wrist size. This is to ensure that the finished wristband is not too tight on your wrist.
- Now you need to start making knots. Start by taking the cord on the left side and place it beneath the center strands. Now take the cord from the right side under the left side cord and run it over the center strands. Pull it through the left side cord loop and pull to tighten the knot.
- Proceed further by sliding the right side cord under the strands in the center. Now place the left side cord under the right side cord, slide it over the center strands and pull through the loop of the right side cord. Tighten up the cords to complete your first knot.
- Just as you tied the first knot, continue knotting in a similar fashion till the entire length between the two buckle ends has been knotted. You need to make sure that the knots are tight and uniform.
- Now get hold of scissors and get rid of the extra cord. Melt the ends of the cord on each side of the loop using the lighter. Another option is using soldering iron to attach the ends.
- If you don't wish to use a buckle, you could also make a wristband with a button on one end and keep a loop in the other end. You can also use colorful cords and different types of knots such as cobra stitch, Solomon bar and Portuguese sinnet.
