Paper Plate Easter Crafts for Kids
Easter time is chock full of fun for kids. You have fun Easter crafts, egg hunts and of course all the goodies the Easter bunny leaves in the baskets. Finding the right craft idea for Easter can get expensive and overwhelming. But with just a few paper plates your kids can make a bunny basket, an Easter tulip caddy to hold your papers and pencils and an Easter egg wreath. Of course you will need some other craft supplies like scissors, paints, glue and other easy craft supplies.

How to Make a Paper Plate Bunny Basket

This cute little basket won’t hold many eggs but will hold your Easter candy and cards.

Supplies

3 Flexible Dinner Sized Paper Plates
1 Small Paper Plate
Crayons or Markers
Paper Clips
Paper Fastener
Hole Punch
Scissors
Yarn or Ribbon
Pink Construction Paper
Cotton Balls
Pink Pom Pom
Wiggle Eyes

Directions

1. Decorate the front and back of the 3 large paper plates. You can make your bunny pink, tan, brown or just leave him white.

2. Fold two of the paper plates in half. Place one half of each plate on top of the third plate. This will leave 2 halves (from the 2 plates) standing up to form the bunny’s body.

3. Hold the plates together with paper clips. Punch holes along the edge of the plates (except the 2 halves that are standing up) and lace ribbon or yarn through to hold the plates together. Remove the paper clips.

4. Glue on the pink pom pom for the nose and the cotton balls for the tail at the front and back of one of the paper plate halves standing up. Glue on the wiggle eyes on either side of the bunny.

5. Cut the small paper plate into two bunny ears. Decorate and attach to either side of the bunny’s body using paper fasteners.

Fill the basket (in between the two halves of the bunny’s body) with Easter grass and candy. Set this cute little guy on the table.

How to Make an Easter Tulip Caddy

This cute flower caddy can hold your pens, pencils, papers or even your Easter cards.

Supplies

3 to 5 Sturdy Dinner Sized Paper Plates
Paint, Crayons or Markers
Glue
Stapler
Scissors

Directions

1. Paint your plates the color of your choice for your tulip.

2. Cut the plates in half and glue together rim to rim forming a pocket. Repeat for each pocket of your caddy.

3. Glue each of the pockets together back to back making a row of pockets that will stand up by itself.

4. Cut the top of the last plate off into the shape of a tulip (zig zag cuts). Glue this to the front of the caddy.

5. You can add leaves to your tulip caddy by cutting leaf shapes from green construction paper. Glue these to the bottom to give your caddy a fun flower look.

Just place your items in this sturdy paper plate holder.
