Ornament #1
- To make our first Christmas ornament, collect the materials: 12 X 12'' cardstock paper, scissors, paper clips, glitter, ¼'' hole punch, ¼'' metal eyelet kit, and hammer.
- With the scissors, cut five strips in 1 ½'' wide strips. These five strips will be then cut into specific lengths.
- Two strips 12'' long, two strips 10'' long, and one strip 8-¾'' long. Now arrange them in order - 12'', 10'', 8-¾'', 10'', 12''.
- Hold all five strips with a paper clip and punch holes through them all. Make sure to leave at least ½'' space from the edge.
- Keep the two pieces of metal eyelet pieces on both sides of the holes. The pieces will go over all five strips.
- Use the hammer to secure them in place. Remove the paper clip from the middle.
- On the other side, you need to bend the longer strips to line together.
- Place the metal eyelet pieces on both sides of all five strips and use hammer to secure in place.
- Make as many paper ornaments as you like following these steps and use glitter to decorate them. And now your handmade Christmas ornament is ready to be hanged on the tree.
- For our next paper Christmas ornament, collect the materials: colorful cardstock paper, scissors, ribbons, double-sided tape, and glue.
- Cut at least ten stripes, all with same height and width (depending on your choice).
- Turn them in loops (shaped like teardrops) and glue the ends together.
- Take five teardrops and arrange them in shape of half a flower. With the double-sided tape, secure the teardrops together.
- Do the same with the other five teardrops. Now you will have two halves of a flower.
- Place a strong of ribbon between the two halves and glue the two halves together.
- Cut two circular papers about 4 cm in diameter. Glue them in the middle of the flower on both sides.
- And that's it; your inexpensive Christmas ornament is ready.
- This next Christmas ornament is shaped like a heart. But first, collect the materials: two colorful cardstock paper, scissors, ribbons, and stapler or glue.
- We need total eight strips. Take both cardstock papers and cut two 12'' long and 1-½'' wide strips each; that makes four strips.
- Now with both cardstock papers, cut two 8'' long and 1-½'' wide strips each; that makes another four strips; total eight.
- Take both 12'' long similar cardstock paper strips and glue them back-to-back. Do the same with all the strips.
- This way, you will end up with total four strips - two similar-colored strips 8'' and 12'' long and the other two similar-colored strips 8'' and 12'' long.
- Now hold them in a particular pattern - 8'', 12'', 12'', 8''.
- Fold the 8'' long strips in opposite sides to make it look like a heart. Same goes for the 12'' long strips.
- Either use the stapler or glue to secure them properly.
- In the end, glue the ribbon in the middle and hang on the tree.
