Palestine
Palestine, on the east coast of the Mediterranean Sea, was the site of the ancient kingdoms of Israel and Judah. It comprises areas of the modern states of Israel and Jordan. Its borders have fluctuated throughout history but have generally included the territory lying between the southeastern Mediterranean coast, the Jordan River/Dead Sea Valley, the Negev Desert, and the Litani River. The area is only about 280 km (175 mi.) long by 128 km (80 mi.) wide. It is relatively well watered and strategically located on major land routes linking western Asia and northern Africa. Below are news and articles on Palestine.
