Pale Surface of Love

Dancing for the moon I cower from the sun
He's the big cheese the powerful one
But the moon so gentle caresses my skin
So it's only for the moon that I sing
The face that's given so many hope
Who got people up that slippery slope
Is my best-friend my lover my light
While I hide for the day I long for the night
I watch the great reflection in the wavering water
I love him weather full or a quarter
My moon leads me home when I'm lost
