Pageant Interview Questions

In the words of Plato, "Truth is beauty, beauty is truth". Beauty in its various forms, including a woman's beauty, is being appreciated right from Plato's time (though the ways of expressing and appreciating beauty have changed!) And it's almost been a century since pageant contests are being held. The Miss America Pageant was first held in Atlantic city on 7th September, 1921. But the contest was not called 'Miss America Pageant' back then, it was called 'Inter-City Beauty Contest'. And beauty contests have seen a huge transformation since then! One of the most important rounds of beauty contests is the pageant interview question round. Aspiring beauty queens concentrate more on physical appearance and tend to ignore the intellectual part of the contest. But pageant interviews is the trickiest and the most important part of the contest. Also, it is depending on the answers given by the contestants that the judges make their final decision.

How to Answer Pageant Interview Questions?

Generally, the third round of a pageant is the question round. Each judge gets a chance to ask a question. The questions can be based on anything, ranging from Hollywood to home science and the contestants have only a few minutes to answer! So presence of mind is very important. The answer shouldn't be too long and nor should it be monosyllabic. You should be able to justify your answer, and not be confused about it. Also, it is advisable to be diplomatic. The key is to be confident in whatever you say.

The key to the crown in the end, is confidence, as most of these questions are subjective, and hence, don't have a right or wrong answer.
