Ozone Generators
Description of Ozone Generators and dangers associated with it.
The manufacturers recommend to the users the size of the device properly to the spaces where it is used. Some of these recommendations about proper sizes for some spaces have not been exact to warranty that ozone concentrations do not overcome public health limits. Using a more powerful machine raises the risk of excessive ozone exposure. The generators have a control setting due to which the ozone output can be adapted. The ozone output of these devices are generally not proportional to the control setting. A setting at medium does not create an ozone level that is halfway between the levels at low and high. The relationship between the control setting and the output changes by a large magnitude among devices. A large of these raise the ozone output quite more than one would expect as the control setting is raised by low to high. The high settings in some devices caused 10 times the level procured at the medium setting. The manufacturer's instructions on some devices connect the control setting to room size and it is shown what setting is correct is apt for varying room sizes. However, room size is the only singular factor that affects ozone level in the room.
Ozone generator dangers
Ozone generators at high concentrations can cause coughing, chest pain, shortness of breath and throat infection. Chronic respiratory diseases like asthma and the ability of the body to fight respiratory infections may be worsened. The susceptibility to ozone of different people change widely. The machines run on the low settings, in well ventilated spaces where people and pets are present. A lot of food can increase the weight, less water can cause drowning and overdosing on life-saving medications can make the person sick. Ozone generators are proper for some specific applications like:
- Killing mold
- Killing bacteria
- Killing mildew
- Getting rid of doors
Ozone equipment
Ozone is created in a flat gas stream that results in low energy consumption and high ozone concentration. Energy consumption is maximum 7kW per kilo ozone produced. Due to the flat design, the ozone generator becomes very compact and less in weight. For water treatment, the OT series ozone generators are present in three different series. The ozone production changes from 5 to 400 g/h. Every size has three different models for varying applications. Special designs are made available on request. All models have a built-in timer and output control. For automatic dosage control, it is possible to supply an external control unit for using any model.
