Wilson, 38, released a statement via his publicist Ina Treciokas that read: "I respectfully ask that the media allow me to receive care and heal in private during this difficult time." It was confirmed that Wilson was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Sunday night. A spokesperson for the hospital, Cynthia Harding, did say that Wilson was in "good condition," but she did not comment on the rumors that the actor had attempted suicide. Wilson was reportedly admitted to St. John’s Health Center and was later transferred to Cedars-Sinai.

It has been widely speculated that Wilson tried to take his own life after suffering from depression over the past few months. A source claims that the actor slit his wrist and took a number of pills before his brother, Luke Wilson, found him and rushed him to the hospital. Wilson’s parent sand bothers, Luke and Andrew, were spotted at the hospital late Sunday night.

Wilson can next be seen on the big screen in the film The Dejeerling Limited. He is also currently filming the comedy Tropic Thunder with Ben Stiller, Jack Black, and Bill Hader. A statement was released Monday by Dreamworks, the powerhouse behind the movie, that said, "Filming on Tropic Thunder continues." No word on whether or not Wilson’s role will be recast or whether or not he will continue filming. He has also signed on for the film version of the best selling book Marley & Me. He will star opposite Jennifer Aniston in the 20th Century Fox backed flick. It has been questioned whether or not the actor can get insured, but a spokesperson for 20th Century Fox said, "It’s a totally inappropriate question at this time when all of our thoughts and concerns are with his health and well being."
