Outside
I'm always on the outside looking in.
And now I'm on
The outside looking in.
Seeing it all,
Wondering when it'll stop.
But I wont surrender.
I have to remember.
But then it runs, and I
Dart to catch it.
I don't know why, don't know how,
But I know I must. I can't let it get away.
I run and chase but it
Just gets further and further away
'Till it's nothing at all and
I fall
Into the outside looking in,
Staring at myself, wondering
When I'll realize my very own mistake
And make it stop.
But the she who's me won't surrender.
She's trying to remember.
I scowl, trying for her attention,
But she's already off, running,
Trying to catch up to the
Biggest mistake. Then both her and
I fall
'Till again we're on the outside looking in.
The outside looking in.
Seeing it all,
Wondering when it'll stop.
But I wont surrender.
I have to remember.
But then it runs, and I
Dart to catch it.
I don't know why, don't know how,
But I know I must. I can't let it get away.
I run and chase but it
Just gets further and further away
'Till it's nothing at all and
I fall
Into the outside looking in,
Staring at myself, wondering
When I'll realize my very own mistake
And make it stop.
But the she who's me won't surrender.
She's trying to remember.
