Organic Chicken Feed

Homemade Organic Chicken Feed
Recipe #1
Ingredients
- ½ part kelp granules
- 3 parts soft white wheat
- ½ part flax seeds
- Oyster shell
- 1 part oat groats
- 1 part sunflower seeds (in winter this is increased to 2 parts)
- 1 part millet
- 1 part kamut
- 1 part amaranth seeds
- 1 part split peas
- 3 parts hard red winter wheat
- 1 part lentils
- 1 part quinoa
- 1 part sesame seeds
- 2 parts whole corn (in winter, increase it to 3 or 4 parts)
- 1 part hulled barley
- Granite grit
You will need 6 bins for storing the above mentioned ingredients. Store corn in one bin, white and red wheat in second bin, barley in third bin, oat groats in fourth bin, sunflower seeds in fifth bin, and the rest of beans and grains in the last beans. The oyster shell and granite is to be kept in their bags only. Whenever you need the feed, simply take the required parts into a 5 gallon bucket and shake well until mixed and use.

Ingredients
- 2 part sunflower seeds
- ½ part kelp
- 3 parts soft white wheat
- 3 parts millet
- ½ part Diatomaceous Earth
- 1 part hulled barley
- 2 parts whole corn
- ½ part peanuts
- 1 part wheat bran
- 1 part oat groats
- 3 parts hard red winter wheat
- 1 part split peas
- 1 part lentils
- 1 part quinoa
- 1 part sesame seeds
- ½ part kelp
Simply mix all the ingredients except oyster shell calcium, in a big container and mix it thoroughly with your hand. Place the oyster shell calcium in a separate container, so that the chickens can eat it anytime they need it. Run your hand through the above ingredients every time before feeding, so that nothing settles down.

Ingredients
- 1 part fish meal
- 1 part dried organic milk
- ½ part cod liver oil
- 1 part oyster shell
- 3 to 4 parts organic whole corn
- 1 part grit
- ½ part salt
- 2 to 3 parts whole organic wheat
Like the earlier recipes, mix all the ingredients together and feed it whenever necessary. However, make sure that you feed only fresh feed, as stale feed loses its nutritional value. However, in case of this recipe, feed cannot be stored for too long.
