Orange Date Salad
Ingredients
- Oranges - 4 Pounds
- Sugar - 1/2 Cup
- Cinnamon - 1 Teaspoon
- Dates - 10
- Crudely Chopped Walnuts - ½ Cup
- Orange Flower Water - 1 Teaspoon
- Mint Leaves
- Peel the oranges and then cut the oranges into small pieces.
- Mix the cinnamon and sugar separately in a small bowl.
- Put the oranges in a large bowl and then sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture and ensure that the orange pieces are well coated.
- Slice the dates into long strips and add them to the oranges.
- Add the orange flower water and the walnuts.
- Garnish with mint leaves and serve chilled.
This is a very useful recipe as you can make croquettes with the leftover cheese and macaroni.

- Oranges - 4
- Lemon - 1
- Water - 4 Cups
- Sugar - 3 Pounds
- Cut the orange into small pieces after removing all the seeds.
- Add water to the oranges along with the juice from the lemon and let it stand for a day.
- The next day, weigh the oranges and set aside an equal measure of sugar.
- Cook the orange mixture for half hour.
- Now add the sugar and constantly stir the mixture till the jam drips of the ladle in wide heavy drops.
- Remove the foam and store the mixture in air tight containers. It is advisable to preheat the jars or put a spoon in the jar while adding the mixture to prevent the jar from cracking.
This is a very good recipe for an orange spread which can be spread on toast instead of butter or any other imaginative way that you can think of.

- Grated rind of half an Orange
- Cream - 1/4 Cup
- Sugar - 1/2 Cup
- Flour - 3 Tablespoons
- Lemon Juice - 1/2 Tablespoon
- Butter - 1 Tablespoon
- Mix all the ingredients in the order specified.
- Cook the mixture in a double boiler for about 10 minutes. Stir the mixture constantly.
- Cool the mixture before using.

- Fresh Ginger Root - 1 Inch
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil - 1 Tablespoon
- Soy Sauce - ¼ Teaspoon
- Balsamic Vinegar - 2 Teaspoon
- Salt - ¼ Teaspoon
- Pepper - ¼ Teaspoon
- Peel the ginger after cleaning it well. Cut it into small pieces.
- Boil the ginger pieces and the orange in a cup of water for a few minutes and drain well.
- Peel the orange and cut the rind into small pieces.
- Juice the orange and beat in the olive oil, vinegar, soy sauce, salt and pepper into the olive oil.
- Stir in the ginger pieces and the orange peels.
- Wait for a few hours before serving.
