One Last Kiss Chapter 17

Somewhere there waiteth in this world of ours
For one lone soul another lonely soul
Each choosing each through all the weary hours
And meeting strangely at one sudden goal.
Then blend they, like green leaves with golden flowers,
Into one beautiful and perfect whole;
And life's long night is ended, and the way
Lies open onward to eternal day.

Amar got out the shower. Looking through the window he realize that he spent all this time loving someone who just ripped his heart away. He couldn't run away. Not this time. He couldn't do this. He knew that after he escaped from his wedding in Pakistan he still was in a serious trouble. He did a mistake loving Julia - didn't he? He was heartbroken with a knowledge that she is soon going to marry some other guy but he knew that the person can get used to anything if its given enough time.

So now the whole world stopped. He felt awkward, uncomfortable. He was clearly in a lot of pain although he knew this time he will finally have to move on.

Forget about her. - something was whispering inside his head.

Maybe he should. Maybe he will. His eyes seemed to be far away from the world he was living in . He left all of his friends. Disappointed his family. Put himself in a lot of danger. And the only reason he did it was because he wanted Julia. He wanted her more than he wanted anything in his life. He was stupid enough to actually think that when he will get back from Pakistan she will be waiting for him. She was - but it was already too late. There was nothing he could do to make this right.

Forget about her - those words have followed him for the rest of the day making him drowsy.

In the evening he received a weird phone call. He was sitting on the chair when his phone started buzzing. Hearing this he picked it up and answered

"Hey Bro. its Haseeb here"

"Haseeb?" He said

"Listen you have to leave the city immediately. Its important"

"Why what's going on?" He asked worringly.

"Hussain and Zakir saw you with this girl walking around last night. They know where you live. Do it quickly or they are going to kill you! I've heard them talking. They have gone to get the girl first"

"What?!" He shouted" What are you talking about?"

"They are going to shoot her. Its too late to do anything"

"Why haven't you rang me earlier?" Amar put the hands over his head as the headache tore.

"They paid me £ 500 to not spill the beans. I have to go. Sorry. Save yourself" Haseeb said and put the phone down.

Amar looked through the curtain if there's someone outside. He saw a couple of suspicious people walking around so he decided to escaped from the garden side. It was dark and rainy outside and luckily the lights refuse to turn on. In that way could safely leave the house. He wore a black jacket and covered most of his face. He trembled each time thinking that they might do something to Julia. He couldn't let that happen. He didn't know what to expect and whats going to happen next. He runned down the dark street. His hair at the back were getting wet. There was no time to catch the breath. He could not imagine that woman he love will be murder by his cousins. He was unable to bring the Julia's face to focus.

The tears and frightened feeling filled his eyes. While running the wind was blowing against him making it difficult to run. He stopped near the blue Mazda 2000 , took the metal bit from his pocket which helped him with opening the car. He never tried this before although luckily enough he opened it quite fast and sat in the car. He didn't care in what car he was in. He knew that he has to get to Leeds before his cousins will. There was no time for stupid plays. He had to worry about what they are going to do to Julia. He tried to call her several times while driving but there was no answer. All he could do was to pray if she was ok. He felt heat from his body rising into his mind, burning away the images he has stored inside. This feeling made him uncomfortable.

When he finally got there he parked the car in hard to see and access area to remain invisible. He runned towards her house. As he walked towards the house he heard someone screaming. When he entered the street he noticed that he was the only one here. It was silent and empty. He got surrounded by very creepy and strange feeling. He started to run faster and faster when he noticed that the doors were opened. All lights were turned off and there was a strange silent feeling the rooms. He walked inside quietly looking around.

"Julia?" He yelled unsurely and turned the lights on and walked inside the living room when he saw her sister crying in the corner.

"Where's Julia? Are you all right?" He moved quickly towards her.

"They ... They took her" She cried

"Where are they?" He asked. It was awful to hear the news.

"I...... I.... don't ..... They .... here" She pointed and he saw Hussain entering the room. His blood freezed for a moment in a fact that he had nothing to defend himself. It was useless.

"Hello my dear cousin " He began to say

"Where's Julia? What did you do to her?" He cried

"She's safe." He said. Amar felt a little bit relieved.

"What do you want from me?" He yelled" What?"

"And if any of you turn back from their faith and die in unbelief, their works will bear no fruit in this life and in the Hereafter; they will be Companions of the Fire and will abide therein." Hussain said. It sounded way to familiar to Amar.

"Surah 2.217" He said

"Any one who, after accepting Faith in God, utters Unbelief, except under compulsion, his heart remaining firm in faith - but such as open their breast to Unbelief, on them is Wrath from God, and theirs will be a dreadful penalty" Hussain said.

"Surah 16.106 " He said

"That's right brother" He said. Amar started to understand what he meant." From when I was young I was taught that the death penalty is an appropriate consequence for apostasy as the public image of Islam"

"But I haven't apostasy Islam. I've only refuse marriage" He tried to make a point but it seemed to be useless.

"By refusing marriage you dishonored our family image, humiliated your parents and disgraced Islam." Hussain began to say" We have to kill you for turning your back to Islam."

Haseeb moved towards Amar. Julia's sister covering her eyes started to scream something. Hussain threw Amar on the floor. He was trying to stand up for a second when he noticed that Hussain took the knife out. He was standing right in a front of him

"Alayka wa alay-his salaamu wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.!" Hussain started to shout while trying to stab Amar who constantly tried to save himself.
Translation: Upon you and upon him be the peace of Allah, His mercy and blessings.

"A'uthu bil-Lahil 'atheemi wa biwajhi-hil kareemi wasultaani-hil qadeemi minash-shaytaanir rajeem." He continued
Translation: I seek protection from Allah, The Sublime, and I seek the protection of His Merciful Self and of His Eternal Kingdom against the accursed devil.
