Once Upon a Time

Sad, about my life.
Once upon a time
In a land far far away
Lived a girl that was fine
But grew weaker with each passing day

It started with a razorblade
Then moved up to skipping meals
And purging the choices she has made
She had no protector, no shields

Over the years its gotten easier
To give into the pain
To whisper to herself at night
"Great I'm going insane"

The pain dulls her insides
So she hurts herself physically too
Her face and talents she hides
She's afraid she might lose you

Her only thoughts were of pain
She thought she was a disgrace
She worked hard, through the strain
And finally gained her grace

Now she hides her scars
From the sharpened razorblades
She now whispers to herself at night
"Great I'm going to be ok"

Just pick yourself back up
Tomorrows a different day
Please don't give up
Don't worry we'll find a way.
