Once Upon A Midnight Clear...

I was working on this when I was taking a friend home...
Once upon a midnight clear,
A hidden man appeared in the shadows, whispering.
The world darkens with your wrathful words,
Spiraling into the pits of hell.
Calling out your name in every direction.

Can there only be one true love?
Her story was about her broken bones.
She called your name, but no one came to help.
Love may mend a broken heart, but never a broken soul.

May the world of peace become nothing but murders and drugs.
The money of the rich will be the dirt of the poor.
Can the amusement of one's laugh become another one's cry?
May the broken heart of one girl, conquer your soul.

The days are bright and shiny, while the nights are cold and harsh.
Sing with joy during the day, but cry splintering tears at night.
Look over to the right, there He is, to the left is the devil.
The one that comforts is no longer there, instead there is a horrible figure.

Comfort is lacking, while fear is near.
Is the world ending?
Can there be "good" people?
Where has the love and hope gone?

Dreams and hopes are broken, shattered.
Tumbling into the glass of a broken soul.
Broken hearted and tear stained.
Can the heart be mended?

Be the one who is always here, but never really there.
Daylight turned to darkness, of the torn sprits.
The dead soon rises and attacks.
Beware of them, they will eat you alive. (rumors)

Is there a spared life out there, resting in a brittle world?
May the sprit of a loved one be with another everyday.
Can the kindness of one, become the one that is turned to?
Is there a way out of the misery and grief, that’s rapidly coming nearer?

That knife is lookin' pretty good, right about now.
Shall it be place upon the virgin skin?
Cut the ache out and let the blood pour.
The happiness is one thing that is taken for granted,
But the pain that comes after is the hardest part of life.

The memories fade to black and white,
Replaying in and out.
Seems like a good movie, but turns into horror.
The suffering has spilled into the life of yours.

May light brighten upon arrival and dim at the shameness of your dignity.
Become the one to hold everything dearly and show the world what life and death is all about.
Wisdom becomes the only thing that matters.
He who knows all the answers has not yet been asked all the questions.

Once upon a midnight clear,
A hidden man appeared, whispering.
The many questions and answers of the world.
Come and tell the world all about the experiences.

Spiraling down the pits of hell.
Tunneling into the pits of darkness,
Covering the world with gloom and hate.
Wondering whether the truth of it all, will end the world.

Wandering to that one spot of light,
Can the light break through, and warm the earth with love and purity?
Does "light" always defeat "darkness"?
Light vs. Dark which one will succeed?

May the presence of ones truth, become your own lies.
May the dirtness of ones mouth, become your own wrath.
May the coldness of ones eyes, become the fire behind your eyes.
May the aching of ones heart, become the strength to your soul.

Once upon a midnight clear,
A hidden man appeared, whispering...
