Oldest Jonas Brother Gets Engaged

Kevin Jonas is now 21 years old and engaged to be married to his girlfriend of nearly 2 whole years - 22 year-old Danielle Deleasa. And his parents couldn't be happier about the news. This is what they posted on the family facebook page:

"Our hearts are filled with joy today and we are happy to share with you that our son Kevin has asked Danielle for her hand in marriage. Her answer was yes, and it is such a blessing that she will be joining our family. Kevin and Danielle have not yet set a date. Family is very dear to us, and we hope we have raised Kevin to be a wonderful man and husband. Please join us in our family's celebration and in congratulating Kevin and Danielle. Thank you for all of your support."

Of course, Kevin Jonas is of legal age and apparently of sound mind. But you have to wonder what his parents are thinking when they are openly encouraging their son, who is an international superstar and lives in the public eye - to get married at such a young age. What is the likelihood that their marriage lasts? Any chance that the demands of touring and the added stress of living a public life prove too much for the happy young couple? I'd bet at least a dollar that they are not married in 3 years.

Of course, one has to wonder what the famous Jonas Brothers purity promise has to do with this move. Once married, Kevin Jonas will be free to have sex with his wife, presumably for the first time. He'd also have broken the seal, so to speak, and could then presumably have sex after the marriage ends. So he may simply be thinking long-term with this decision.
