The Oklahoma City Metropolitan Library System is one of the branches of the Metropolitan Library System which consists of 12 full-service libraries spread out all over Oklahoma County, as well as five smaller extension libraries. Individuals not meeting any of these requirements are offered an Annual Fee card to purchase. The Metropolitan Library System also maintains Outreach Collection in nursing homes and retirement centers. It also funds a "Books by Mail" service for shut-ins.
