Off to War
People think the hardest part is to let go. The hardest part is to sit and wait for them to return home.

"Why must you leave me Yuan? Stay! We can raise the baby together."
Yuan sighed and rested his head on her forehead. "You know I must leave. It is my honor to be asked to be a sergeant in this war."
Tears ran down her soft skin. "Think of the child."
He closed his light jade eyes. "You know I must go do not argue are last few minutes together."
Izumi swallowed past the rock in her throat. "I don't want you to leave me."
He took both her hands in his and leaned back looking into her light hazel eyes. "I will never leave you darling. I will always be here with you."
He set a hand over her heart. "Why must you always know what to say?"
He smirked." I'm a very suave type of man baby."
She giggled. "Sure you are Yuan."
He grabbed her by the waist. "Got you in my bed didn't it?"
She slapped him lightheartedly. "Got you inside my heart."
"Don't you mean my heart?"
The train whistle blew and they both jumped startled. "I have to go now." He kissed her passionately before stepping back and walking towards the train. She put a hand around her stomach and a hand over her quivering rose bud mouth.
The wind kicked up and her long black tresses flew in the spring breeze. Other couples said goodbye also and there were many tears and passionate embraces. The train horn blew again and the women waved to their soldiers on the train. When she spotted Yuan intensely waving in her direction she stood on the tip of her toes and looked over the cluster of women. "I love you!" She screamed and yelled. He seemed to hear her because he yelled it right back and even though she couldn't hear it she could. Deep inside her she could hear him whispering it to her in the dark. When the train finally vanished into the horizon she knew that he would come back to her and even in death they would be together. Yuan would surely come back to her and he did just as she was giving birth to their precious daughter Kizumi.
