Of Eaten Rain & Swallowed Moonshine
A poem of many stories, yours and mine, things you did not know could exist in and out of rhyme, dark and sunlit, at the same time.
Climb out of every window in my soul
Let me tell you a story
I have told it before
A million times in a million lives
In my million names and my million lies
A tale of blinding starlight
Of fuchsia sunrise
Of poetry lost bit by bit word and rhyme
Never acknowledged
In self grown annals of demented crime
Trap in safe membranes that word that rhyme
Wordless in transit
A stopover from reality
The final geography is mine
Chocolate stained tear strawberry coated love line
Across my neck in deep maroon
In forgotten times
I re confine
In my pockmarked body
Wait for bursts of purple sunshine
Before voyeurism or clairvoyance
I was I not me nor you
Heartless migrate
Soul flower of the gutter to the rain
See through
What she already knew
Captive
In his mind
Red painted toes pink flip flops
Butterfly nets and water beds
The uncluttered surmise
Good morning then good bye
Joker cries
Always inside
The "inverted" relationship
Akin to cinnamon iced tea minus lime
Tick-tock tick tock
Wind up strike
This life one big clock
Conditioning the concubines of time
Wilt my little cauliflower
Shrink in surprise
Weed has grown
In a flower bed
Never mine
Cleansing of my muddy homegrown
Unwelcome this
Darker twin I un- own
Reconnaissance
Of my inside
Read you thousand journals in my mind
A prostitute of space
With new season to define
Neither monsoon nor autumn
But an eaten rain swallowed moonshine
Does it come
You tell me
In the meanwhile
Into a dark fermented landscape
Mildewed hollow hole
I climb
Let me tell you a story
I have told it before
A million times in a million lives
In my million names and my million lies
A tale of blinding starlight
Of fuchsia sunrise
Of poetry lost bit by bit word and rhyme
