Of Death and the Afterlife
A poem I wrote about leaving the world behind and the journey that came after death.
Blood crushing in my body
Turning blue and fading away
When the day went on, I felt woozy
From that one act of desperation
As I laid
Dying, dying, dying
For the first time, I felt released
Pleased that body was dead with my spirit alive
As I took a dive into the cool breeze
I flew into the sunset
A new bridge opened
I walked to complete life
And begin a pure rebirth
Turning blue and fading away
When the day went on, I felt woozy
From that one act of desperation
As I laid
Dying, dying, dying
For the first time, I felt released
Pleased that body was dead with my spirit alive
As I took a dive into the cool breeze
I flew into the sunset
A new bridge opened
I walked to complete life
And begin a pure rebirth
